Jacksonville Jaguars Extend Star Linebacker Foyesade Oluokun’s Contract for Three Years

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Friday that they have agreed to a three-year extension with star linebacker Foyesade Oluokun.

Adam Schefter of the network ESPN reported that the deal was worth 45 million and could go as high as 48 million. Additionally, $22.5 million is guaranteed to Oluokun, who is now under contract with the Jaguars through 2027.

Oluokun spent the first four seasons of his career with the Atlanta Falcons, after they selected him in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. The linebacker joined the Jaguars in 2022.

The 28-year-old finished the 2021 and 2022 seasons ranked first in the NFL in tackles. He sits atop the league in tackles over the past three seasons with a total of 549.

His 173 tackles in 2023 made him the sixth player since 2000 to have three consecutive seasons of at least 150 tackles.
