It was during a departmental plateau in Brétigny-sur-Orge (Essonne), in which Édouard participated with Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois, where he started rugby at the age of 8. “I signed him up for multi-sport in Villejuif, where we lived at the time, for football, like his two big brothers, even if he didn’t want to go,” says his mother Mariette, an accountant. Besides, one evening, I picked him up sitting on the side, while the others were having fun. I don’t know why but he only thought about rugby so I took him to the Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois club when we moved, knowing that the stadium was right behind the house.
