Italian Tennis Player Jannik Sinner Reaches Quarterfinals at Indian Wells Masters 1000 Tournament

Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner has qualified for the quarterfinals of the Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells, California, United States. He beat the American Ben Shelton in two sets (7-6, 6-1) and in the quarterfinals he will play against the Czech Jiri Lehecka, who beat the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in the round of 16. For Sinner, who is in third place in the men’s ranking of the best tennis players in the world (the first is the Serbian Novak Djokovic and the second is the Spanish Carlos Alcaraz), it is the eighteenth consecutive victory: this year, moreover, he started the season by winning the Australian Open, one of the four Grand Slam tournaments, the most important and prestigious in tennis.
