European Gymnastics’ decision due to the war in Gaza. Now within 30 days you have to find a new location
The news was in the air. The official announcement arrived today. The 2025 European Gymnastics Championships will no longer be held in Tel Aviv as scheduled due to the ongoing war in Gaza. The decision was made and communicated in a note by the organizers themselves, the European Gymnastics Union.
Now a new location will have to be found hastily. Affiliated federations have one month to submit their proposals. We recognize the efforts made by the Israeli Gymnastics Federation, an excellent host of several European Championships over the last eight years, added European Gymnastics, specifying that the executive committee welcomes a candidacy for subsequent editions from Israel.
