Isaiah Thomas Makes NBA Comeback with Phoenix Suns

“IT” is back. Two years after his last stint in the NBA – at the Charlotte Hornets, in March 2022 – former All-Star (2016, 2017) Isaiah Thomas signed a ten-day contract with the Phoenix Suns, according to The Athletic.

The 35-year-old was particularly successful in March with the Salt Lake City Stars in the G-League, playing four matches for as many victories and posting averages of 32.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists, all at 40.7% shooting and 44.6% from three points. In the absence of a real playmaker, Phoenix took the gamble of banking on the former member of the house, who had already worn the Suns jersey for two seasons, from 2014 to 2016.

One month before the play-offs (April 20), Thomas is now forced to prove himself in the final sprint if he wishes to land a second contract. During his NBA career, the leader played 550 games for averages of 17.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists. In 2017, he finished fifth in the MVP rankings.
