Inter extends league lead with win at Genoa

Inter Milan is further away from their pursuers in the Italian championship and is well on the way to the title. Coach Simone Inzaghi’s team beat Genoa 2-1 (2-0) at home on Monday and is already 15 points ahead of Juventus Turin, which lost 2-1 at champions SSC Napoli the day before.

Kristjan Asllani (30th) and Alexis Sanchez from the penalty spot (38th) gave Milan a 2-0 lead, Johan Vasquez (54th) scored the next goal. Inter won their ninth league game this year, with ÖFB team striker Marko Arnautovic coming on as a substitute in the 76th minute.
