MAZATLAN._ Almost in its final stretch, the Holy Week Basketball Cup played Day 4 of activity on the court. The Vector court witnessed great basketball duels between the teams seeking spring glory.
In a women’s game, Guerreras set Las Plebes U-16’s basket on fire with an overwhelming score of 61 points to 30. For the winners, Athaly García was the leader in scoring with 20 points followed by Renata Salazar with 15.
On the Las Plebes U-16 side, Adeline Valdez was the best scorer with 7 points along with Sofía Osuna with 6.
In another women’s match, Panteras Torreón experienced a true nightmare on the court, as Kovak Viveros Melendres made life impossible for them until they won with a score of 61 by 36 points.
For the winners, Jacqueline Sánchez was the best scorer with 12 points on her account, accompanied by Sofía Andrade who equaled her in the statistics with 12 points.
The Torreón quintet had Marlén Martínez as the leader with 8 points, followed by Elisa González with 7.
In a tight men’s match, Aeropuerto faced Academia Patasaladas, which they barely managed to get the result with a final score of 78 to 73. Omar Ramírez was the king of the baskets with 27 points followed by Fabricio Flores with 19.
For the Patasaladas, Alejandro Canobio did his thing on offense and scored 27 points, supported by Hilario Cázarez with 14 points.
Vector and Espinoza Anesthesiology met in another match, in which Vector knew how to get the job done and won the final score 55-49 over the medical quintet. Fredy Cisneros and Sebastián Cázarez were the best scorers with 16 points each.
For Anesthesiology Espinoza Carlos Montes was the leader with 20 baskets, followed by Rodolfo González who added 12.
In a match with a clearer difference in the score, Section 44 defeated Manijas Team 55 points to 44. Marcos Rodríguez and Luis Gutiérrez fought for the winning quintet to score 18 and 12 points, respectively.
For Manijas Team Jorge Hernández scored 10 baskets followed by Arnulfo Aguirre, who scored 8 points.
This Saturday, March 30, the final phase of this spring basketball tournament will be played.
