Indonesian Defender Justin Hubner Set to Make Premier League Debut

Jakarta – Young Indonesian national team defender, Justin Hubner will be the first Indonesian player to play in the Premier League.

As is known, Justin Hubner now plays for the Premier League club, Wolverhampton. Apart from that, he is a naturalized Indonesian national team player.

Reported by the Instagram account @localfestid, Friday 8 March 2023. Justin Hubner has now been promoted to Wolverhampton’s main squad. Apart from that, the 20 year old player has been included in the Wolver squad ahead of facing Fulham on Saturday 9 March.

Being promoted to Wolverhampton’s main squad is a form of coach Julen Lopetegui’s trust in Justin Hubner to guard their back line.

Justin Hubner’s brilliant performance with the Wolverhampton youth team made the Spanish coach not hesitate to promote him to the main squad.

Justin Hubner joined Wolverhampton in the 2022 season. As is known, previously there were no Indonesian national team players competing in the Premier League. However, this will happen if the player who has Dutch-Indonesian blood is played against Fulham.

While joining Wolverhampton U-21, Justin Hubner managed to record 47 matches, four assists and two goals in the U-21 Premier League.
