At the second weapons destruction ceremony of 2024 A total of 222 firearms and 33,672 ammunition of various calibers were destroyed, which were seized in different actions carried out by police units in coordination with the Public Ministry, the security establishments and the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) through the Directorate of State Patrimonial Assets.

The destruction took place in the Firearms Destruction Center, located at the headquarters of the National Police, in Ancon.

The breakdown reveals that it is 104 pistols, 89 revolvers, 14 shotguns, 3 rifles, 7 pellets, 3 rifles and 2 submachine guns. Additional, 1,176 suppliers and 281 accessories.

This is the ceremony number 45 of the current administration, in which a total of 40,005 firearms, 531,253 ammunition, 8,499 suppliers and 5,536 explosive devices.
