Impressive Results at JC Gernsdorf’s Competition: Young Athletes Shine on the Podiums

Results JC Gernsdorf: (8 podium places) U11: Phil Marburger (up to 23 kg), Tim Stahl (up to 29 kg), Luca Krumm (up to 34 kg) and Nico Hellmann (up to 37 kg) were registered here. Tim (born in 2016) was one of the youngest and proved his physical robustness with three early victories leading up to the final. There he deservedly prevailed and took first place. Nico started the first fight cautiously and promptly lost. After two more victories, he reached third place. Phil started with a win, but was unable to get on the podium due to two defeats, as was top performer Luca Krumm, who started with a great win, but was left behind in close encounters and this one Wasn’t on the winner’s podium.

U13: Marvin Stahl (up to 37 kg) and Mateo Steiner (up to 55 kg) fought in this age group for the first time. Particularly noteworthy is Mateo, who voluntarily competed in a higher weight class and fought bravely, but was unable to achieve any victories. Marvin took a win, which unfortunately wasn’t enough for a place on the podium. Things went better for the girls. Lilli Wilscher (up to 48 kg) was happy about two nice victories and third place. Merle Grüttner (up to 36 kg) even achieved second place with her first win at district level in her young competition career.

U15: Lukas Maier (+55 kg), Leon Westphal (-43 kg) and Jule Krämer (up to 48 kg for the first time) competed in this age group. Jule fought in a higher weight class and won all four of her meets, earning her first place. Leon also secured first place with two early wins on the floor. Lukas Maier rounded off the Gernsdorfer result with third place.

U18: Janne Westphal (up to 66 kg) was the only Gernsdorf starter in this age group. He fought his way into the final with two wins, but ultimately had to admit defeat to the reigning district champion and thus reached second place.

Results JF Siegen-Lindenberg (6 podium places): In the U15 youth team ranking, JF Siegen-Lindenberg secured second place. U11: Lotta Vohs (up to 44 kg) and Willi Shih (up to 25 kg) took part here. Lotta needed two wins for first place. Willi showed good approaches, but this time it wasn’t enough for a place on the podium.

U13: Gero Anders (up to 37 kg) reached third place with two wins and one narrow defeat. Jonathan Gehrke (up to 43 kg) took second place with a balanced record of two wins and two defeats. Leonard Shih (up to 40 kg) also showed good results, but was unable to enter the winners’ list.

U15: Michelle Ens bravely started in a higher weight class up to 44 kg and had to admit defeat twice, which earned her second place. Yehor Semenov (up to 50 kg) and Theodor Hellwig (up to 66 kg) both secured first place with three early wins each.

Results JV Siegerland (1 podium place): Celvin Oberowski from the U18 needed four wins in his weight class up to 46 kg to be at the top of the podium at the end of the day.
