Ibón Judokas Compete in Spanish Junior Championship and Federation Training in Monzalbarba

Huesca

During the weekend the Ibón judokas have had a double date, on the one hand, the juniors Martina Vives and Daniel Nogarol together with their coach Raúl Poblador have traveled to Madrid with the Aragonese junior team, formed by the judokas who managed to qualify for the final phase of the Spanish Junior championship.

Martina Vives in her first competition as a junior had a great fight, although she was unable to beat her opponent, Daniel made it through the first rounds to the quarterfinals when he met the Galician representative Alejandro Moral. Daniel would have a great fight, the judoka del Ibón began by marking wazari, but one minute before the end of the fight his opponent beat him by ippon. In the end the Galician would win gold and although Dani had the opportunity to fight in the repechage for bronze, he was also defeated with no option for the metal.

The next appointment for David Marí, Pau Vigeras and Angie Guerrero, the international from Porec (Croatia), takes place this weekend.

Mama Coulibaly attended the Spanish Junior Championship on behalf of the Binéfar Judo Club, and despite having finished in second position in the Spanish Cup ranking, on this occasion Mama was unlucky as she fell in the second round against her Galician opponent. and although she moved up positions in the repechage, she did not manage to compete in the medal fights, and despite the fact that at the end of the competition with a more than creditable 7th place, she was one of the 3 Aragonese who managed to access the medal table, all of them from the Altoaragón Judo Association.

This result left a small taste considering the impressive career of this young judoka whom we hope to see shine again at the Junior European Cup in Portugal in two weeks.
