Cornelia Hütter won the women’s downhill at the World Cup final in Saalbach on Saturday and thus secured the small crystal ball. The 32-year-old Styrian won ahead of the Italian Nicol Delago (+0.49) and the Slovenian Ilka Stuhec (+0.17).
Hütter won the downhill ranking with a 28-point lead over Lara Gut-Behrami. The 32-year-old Swiss, who went into the last race of the season with a 72-point lead over the Austrian, came away empty-handed in 17th place and missed her fourth crystal ball.
The ÖSV runners also presented a strong team performance at the season finale. Christina Ager (+0.50), Stephanie Venier (+0.62) and Mirjam Puchner (+0.63) took places four to six. Ariane Rädler (+1.17) came tenth. Victoria Olivier was eliminated.
