Human Rights of Guerrero investigates crime of normalista – El Sol de México

The Human Rights Commission of the State of Guerrero announced the beginning of an investigation folder to follow up on the murder of a student from the Ayotzinapa normal school at a state police checkpoint in Chilpancingo.

Through a statement, the CDHEG regretted the acts of violence that occurred in the capital last Thursday, March 7, in which a student from the Ayotzinapa Normal School lost his life, and also offered support for the victim and his family.

They add that this Human Rights defense organization will be attentive to provide support to family members and students; and that he will initiate an ex officio investigation into the facts.

Finally, they call on the competent authorities to carry out a thorough investigation of the facts so that those responsible are punished and the truth is made known.

The investigation they announce is around the death of Yanqui Rothan Gómez Peralta, who was presumably traveling in a van reported stolen, and refused to stop at the security filter installed by the state police.

The police reported that inside a vehicle they located a weapon, drugs and beer; the normalistas say that these things were staged.
