Huelva Badminton Club Shines at Absolute Andalusian Championship

The city of Huelva once again became the epicenter of national badminton this weekend. The Carolina Marín Sports Palace hosted the Absolute Andalusian Badminton and Mini Badminton Championship, with notable participation from the Huelva Badminton Club. The entity’s youth team emerged as one of the winners of the event by winning a total of four medals: three gold and one silver.

In the women’s singles event, Cristina Teruel won the gold medal, consolidating himself as one of the brightest promises of the club and Andalusia. On the other hand, Jesús de Burgos achieved gold in two events, mixed and men’s doubles, the latter partnering with his teammate Martín Mosquera.

For his part, Guillermo Nuviala took the silver medal in the men’s individual event, after an exciting confrontation with his training partner at the Andalusian Specialized Center for Sports Technology (CAETD), Mario Rodríguez.

These notable results not only reflect the good times of the Huelva Badminton Club athletes, but also consolidate the dominance of the club’s youth team at the regional level.

With the confidence obtained in the Andalusian Championship, the Huelva Badminton Club is now preparing to face the next day of the national league in Granollers. The successes achieved at home serve as an additional boost to face the last two league rounds and consolidate the club’s position on the national scene.
