Houston Rockets Extend Winning Streak to Eight Games with Dominant Victory Over Utah Jazz

HOUSTON (AP) — Jalen Green had 41 points, Fred VanVleet added 10 3-pointers and a season-high 34 points and the Houston Rockets made 21 three-point attempts to beat the Utah Jazz 147-119 on Saturday and take the lead to eight wins in a row.

Jabari Smith Jr. and Kris Dunn were ejected five seconds into the second period after receiving technical fouls for fighting. Punches were thrown back and forth as they waited for the ball to advance. His teammates and officials placed themselves between the players and prevented the fight from escalating.

This is the Rockets’ longest winning streak since November 2019. Houston closed within a game and a half of Golden State, which is tenth with the last berth to the mini-tournament in the Western Conference.

VanVleet scored 23 points, with seven triples, and Green had 21 points, making 9 of 12 field goals in the first half as the Rockets led 85-55 at halftime.

VanVleet tied James Harden and Chandler Parsons for the franchise record for three-pointers made in a single game. Green finished 15 of 22 from the field and 7 of 11 from 3-point range.
