The set in six Holger Rune surprisingly failed in the second round of the ATP 1000 Masters in Miami. The Dane lost in two clear sets 1:6 and 1:6 against the Italian Fabian Marozsan . Alex De Minaur On the other hand, it was easy and is making big strides into the third round.

Hardly anyone would have expected that. Holger Rune loses in the second round of the Miami Open. Somehow nothing worked out as it should for the young Dane and the Italian managed everything. Rune quickly lost the first set 6:1. At first it was a surprise, but everything was still open for the 20-year-old. But Marozsan played one of his best matches and also delivered excellent tennis in the second set.
Rune missed three break chances and the unseeded Marozsan took advantage of five out of five. The 24-year-old Italian converted the first match point and left the field as a deserved winner with a 6:1 and 6:1 win. A disappointing and early tournament exit for the Dane, who arrived in Miami extra early with coach Patrick Mouratoglou. Mouratoglou had certainly hoped for a better start to the new or renewed collaboration.
Alex De Minaur moves into the third round without any problems
The Australian Alex De Minaur won 6:3 and 6:2 against the South Korean Kwon Soon-woo, who was admitted directly into the main draw due to his “Protected Ranking”. De Minaur, seeded ninth, will now face German Jan-Lennard Struff, who had previously defeated teammate Altmaier. The 25-year-old Australian is having a good season so far. He was in the finals in Rotterdam and Mexico and made it to the round of 16 in Indian Wells, where he was then stopped by Alexander Zverev.
