Harry Kane’s Availability in Doubt for England’s Matches Against Brazil and Belgium

Kane unsure for Tuesday

Harry Kane will not play for England in the friendly against Brazil on Saturday. According to national coach Gareth Southgate, the captain of the England team is also highly doubtful for next Tuesday’s match against Belgium.

Kane is not the first player to have to withdraw from this month’s two matches at Wembley. On Thursday, the losing finalist of the European Championship 2020 also saw Bukayo Saka drop out with an injury.

Kane suffered an ankle injury in the away game against Bayern Munich at Darmstadt last weekend and may also miss Tuesday’s match against Belgium – the last game before Southgate puts together his final European Championship squad.

“No Harry Kane, no Jordan Henderson and no Cole Palmer tomorrow,” Southgate said on Friday. “I would say that Cole and ‘Hendo’ have a better chance of making it to the match against Belgium than Harry. He is very doubtful for that.”
