Gudlevsky, representing Bremerhaven “Fischtown Penguins”, has won 30 games in 44 matches this season, allowing an average of 2.12 innings and shooting 91.4%.
The awarding of the best players of the DEL season is scheduled for Monday. Berlin Eisbaren goalkeeper Jake Hildebrand, as well as Munich Red Bull goalkeeper Matthias Niederberger, who is a long-time goalkeeper of the German national team, are also in the running for the best goalkeeper award.
Hildebrand averaged 2.35 goals against and shot 91.7% in 37 games, while Niederberger averaged 2.31 goals against and shot 91.2% in 40 games.
The team represented by the Latvian goalkeeper is the DEL leader with 104 points in 51 games.
