Grigor Dimitrov Ends Miami Open Favorite’s Streak, One Step Away from Top 10 Return

Grigor Dimitrov (N°12 del ranking ATP) signed the fall of the top favorite of the Miami Open. After an hour and a half of the game, victory to Carlos Alcaraz (2nd) 6-2 and 6-4, ending his streak since Indian Wells to reach the semifinals of the tournament for the first time in his career. Besides, was one step away from returning to the Top 10.

Alcaraz, number one for the first time at the end of 2022 and owner of 13 titles, arrived in Miami with the logical impulse that a consecration like that of Indian Wells provides after long months without stepping on a definition (Cincinnati 2023 vs. Djokovic).

In Florida he extended his chance to win the Sunshine Double with performances over Roberto Carballés Baena (6-2, 6-1), Gael Monfils (6-2, 6-4) and Lorenzo Musetti (6-3, 6-3).
