Germany’s Historic Start in European Championship Ignites Fire in Lyon

Lyon – With a historic lightning start and an impressive performance, the great German national football team has suddenly ignited the European Championship fire. Led by boss Toni Kroos and lightning goalscorer Florian Wirtz, national coach Julian Nagelsmann’s radically rebuilt team passed the toughest possible endurance test against runner-up world champions France with flying colors with a 2-0 win. Wirtz scored after just eight seconds in Lyon 83 days before the European Championship opener against Scotland, making it the fastest international goal in DFB history.
