Georgina Rodríguez Reveals Cristiano Ronaldo’s Retirement Plans

Georgina Rodríguez revealed when Cristiano Ronaldo is going to retire.

Cristiano Ronaldo turned 39 on February 5 and continues to break networks. Since 2023 he has been playing for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia and this season he has scored 28 goals and 11 assists in 29 games, including all competitions. He continues in his national team and, beyond his sixth Euro Cup that he will play in 2024 in Germany, his wife, Georgina Rodríguez, has just revealed when he will retire from the playing fields, at least professionally.

It was at the Fashion Week held in Milan from February 20 to 26, that Rodríguez, who is a model and businesswoman in that field, was filmed in a talk with the Serbian singer Jelena Karleusa, and in it she refers to the future from her husband. The video was published on social networks and spread like wildfire due to the value of the testimony.

When asked about how long CR7 was going to play, Georgina responded “Cristiano, one more year and then it’s over.” Her interlocutor asks her “a year?”, and Rodríguez clarifies “maybe two. I don’t know”. The margin reported by the Portuguese forward’s wife invites speculation about a possible retirement after the 2026 World Cup, in case his team qualifies for the event that will be held in Canada, the United States and Mexico.

Georgina walked the Vetements catwalk in a stunning red dress based on the iconic jacket with the number seven that her husband wore during his two spells at Manchester United. Her participation shocked the public and the media because her presence was not announced and the detail that also caught attention was CR7’s autograph.

The Argentine-born woman was accompanied by four of her children and they joined the parade on the catwalk. Later, Georgina offered a heartfelt thank you on her social networks: “Another dream come true, thank you very much,” she posted.

At the moment the Portuguese striker has a contract with the Saudi club until June next year. He was always measured on the subject of his retirement due to his super competitive spirit on and off the field of play, being a fan of training and taking care of his physique. He looks impeccable and, although he went on to play in a second-level league, he appears current.

In October of last year, when asked about it, the former Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus scorer responded that “step by step. I’m sure I’ll play this year and next. Then, if my body tells me to continue… The fans make me happy and I make them happy. I continue to help and be useful to the team. I have to be grateful for that. What got me to the top was hard work, but without my team none of this would have been possible.”

With Al Nassr he is second in the Saudi Pro League table with 53 points, 9 behind the leader, Neymar’s Al Hilal. In the Saudi team he has a total of 42 goals and 13 assists in 48 games. As for his team, in June he will play his sixth Euro Cup, a competition that will take place in Germany and which the Portuguese was able to win in France 2016. Then the European Qualifiers for the World Cup will begin and in case the Portuguese national team is classified, it is possible that the star will extend his professional practice until the ecumenical event that will be held in North America.
