The finals of the A1 Italian Cadet Judo Championships took place yesterday, Sunday 10 March, at the Pala Pellicone in Lido Di Ostia (RM).
Also at the competition Olympic Judo Asti Asd with an athlete, Ginevra Alois than in the -44 Kg category he won a splendid silver medal.
Geneva reached the final as number three in the national ranking list, in the first round it faced a strong Ligurian opponent against whom it narrowly won on the golden score after an intense fight.
In the second round he won clearly, after making a waza-ari standing following a nice throw, managing to pin her opponent to the ground and getting l‘ippon. She thus reached the semi-final where she faced a Neapolitan judoka with whom she had already competed other times, always losing out.
The intense and long semi-final ended in a draw, the match ended after the golden score which saw her win following Hansokumake (sum of penalties) against a particularly difficult opponent.
In the Geneva final Aloise faced the number one in the ranking, a judoka from Friuli, already winner of the -44kg category last year, but after a good start, unfortunately in a phase of fighting on the ground she was defeated following a shime-waza (strangulation) .
With the 2nd place Ginevra Aloise reconfirms herself as vice Italian champion in the -44Kg category (a result already obtained last year by Rookie B) with an important result that allows her to obtain the cintura nera 1° And for sporting merits.
