Gaël Monfils on the road to Carlos Alcaraz in Miami, Arthur Fils opposed to Matteo Arnaldi

After his title at Indian Wells on Sunday, Carlos Alcaraz, seeded n°1 in the absence of Novak Djokovic, forfeited, will face for his first match in Miami the winner of the meeting between the Australian Aleksandar Vukic (65th) and the Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena (64th). He could then find Ben Shelton in the round of 16, Hubert Hurkacz in the quarters and a possible semi-finalist between Alexander Zverev or Holger Rune if logic is respected.

In the other part of the table, Jannik Sinner, seeded No. 2, will open his tournament against the winner of the match between Pedro Cachin (79th) and a qualifier. In the round of 16, the Italian could be faced with Tommy Paul, and in the quarterfinals with Andrey Rublev or Stefanos Tsitsipas. The defending champion Daniil Medvedev could find him in the semi-finals if he overcomes potential pitfalls Ugo Humbert Casper Ruud or Taylor Fritz.

On the French side, Gaël Monfils will start against Dusan Lajovic (52nd), to find Borna Coric then Carlos Alcaraz in the 3rd round if he succeeds. Adrian Mannarino will face the winner of the Emil Ruusuvuori – Yannick Hanfmann match, with an outlook on Grigor Dimitrov. Alexandre Müller faces Kwon Soonwoo (863rd, protected ranking) to hope to play Alex de Minaur.

If he eliminates Pavel Kotov (67th), Luca Van Assche will face the challenge of Casper Ruud.
