Fuxé Judo Excels at Occitanie Championship, Secures Spots at French Championships

the essential Fuxé judo achieved another good result on March 9 and 10, with two new athletes qualified for the French championships.

Saturday March 9, the Occitanie junior and junior first division championship took place in Mèze, in the department of Hérault.

The best judokas in the region were expected on the tatamis, to battle it out and try to win a ticket for the French championships, which will take place on March 30 and 31 in Paris.

Three athletes from the Foix dojo were engaged in this particularly tough competition. As usual, they carried the colors of the count’s city high.

Ryan Naga, irresistible throughout the day, performed flawlessly. He climbed onto the first step of the podium, becoming champion of Occitanie. Léo Laguerre took a superb third place. Results which open the way to the French cadet championships.

Lisa Loubes also delivered a great performance, placing fifth in her category.

As for Sacha Meyssan, he finished third in the young officer’s cup and will have the privilege of refereeing the French Espoirs championships on May 19 in Ceyrat, in the Puy-de-Dôme department.
