From the Stadium to Employment: How Sport Can Lead to Professional Success

Much more than a simple physical activity, sport develops human, relational and professional qualities essential for success in life. It is for this reason that Pôle emploi, a few months before the Olympic Games, joined forces with the organizing committee (Cojo) to launch the “From the stadium to employment” operation.

Tuesday, a day structured around three highlights for recruiting and being recruited through the practice of sport took place, for the first time, at the Bonneval sports hall, in collaboration with the badminton club, several companies and the City.

80 people and 15 companies, based in Châteaudun and Bonneval, were involved in this day marked by the presence of the prefect Hervé Jonathan, the sub-prefect Kévin Povéda, and the territorial director of France Travail Fabrice Gaussens.

The prefect praised “the quality of relationships, the teamwork which allows a return to employment”, emphasizing that “in the youth engagement contract, in two years, 4,000 young people have been supported in the country”.

After the sporting challenges in the morning and the shared lunch, a job dating took place between recruiters and candidates in the afternoon, with interviews facilitated by the day’s discussions.
