From Loan Spells to National Team: The Rise of Defender Hranáč

The 24-year-old defender followed the same path as his teammate from Victoria, and now also in the national team, midfielder Pavel Šulc. He completed several loan spells, and returned to Pilsen as a finished player. “Guests were essential, otherwise I wouldn’t have made it anywhere. In Pilsen, you have to complete this journey in order to be in their team at all,” Hranáč pointed out.

Since returning to the Doosan Arena in the summer, he has been rolling under the new coach Miroslav Koubek. He holds the Pilsen defense. He is fast, confident, confident, strong in the air. In addition, he is also productive – this season he scored three goals and assisted on two. It was practically certain that he would not miss the nomination for the preparatory duels in Norway and with Armenia. He didn’t get a chance in Oslo, he should be on the pitch on Tuesday at Letná.

“I know, it was written that I should be nominated, but she still surprised me. I enjoy every moment at the meeting, I gain experience. I hope that I will be able to jump in against Armenia,” said Hranáč.

Perhaps the best option for them would be if he started next to current player Tomáš Vlček, with whom they formed an excellent stopper duo in Pardubice. “It’s up to the coaches how they build the defense. Anyway, Tomáš was the first person I talked to at the Monday meeting. We are close to each other. We sometimes reminisce about the times in Pardubice, but now we both have big challenges ahead of us. We are still hungry,” said Hranáč.

One of the nearest dreams is to participate in the summer Euro in Germany. However, there will not be many opportunities to show the national team coaches before the championship. “But the coaches see all the matches we play in the clubs. They will definitely get a picture of the form. So I don’t see a problem that there won’t be many friendly players before the Euros,” says Hranáč, who is awaiting further battles in the Plzeň jersey after the meeting.

In the league, in the quarter-finals of the MOL Cup in Jablonec and in April two quarter-final duels of the Conference League with Fiorentina, where his team-mate from the national team Antonín Barák works. “The three of us from Plzeň, who are now in naroďak, were talking about this topic with Tonda. We joked, everyone wants to move on,” added Hranáč.
