French Men’s Judo Team Revealed for World Championships in Abu Dhabi

In the wake of recent selection announcements for the Olympic Games, and at the same time as those for the European Championships, the first names of our men selected for the world championships are revealed. We are told a nice “mano a mano” between the holder of the Games Luka Mkheidze and the holder of the next European Championships Romain Valadier-Picard, his lively “dolphin” in -60kg. Holder for the Games in -66kg and exempt from the European Championships in which he won bronze, but also a brilliant world medalist in Doha, Walide Khyar will be entered in the world championships, as will the Olympic selection in -73kg Joan -Benjamin Gaba, also selected for the European Championships. In -81kg Alpha Oumar Djalo, starter for the Games, will also be involved in the world championships as he hoped. It is the same for the -90kg Maxime-Gaël Ngayap Hambou, who is starting at both the Games and the world championships in the spirit of accumulating as many points as possible and the experience he lacks.

They will take place from May 19 to 24 in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
