Almost three months right before the 2024 NBA Draft, the trend which places the two French nuggets – Zaccharie Risacher and Alexandre Sarr – at the top of the tables seems to be confirmed. Jonathan GivonyESPN puts the Bourg winger and Perth inside back in the top two choices.
On June 26 and 27 in Brooklyn, it is clear that France will be well represented. If last year had been a record with two French people in the top 7 (Victor Wembanyama 1st and Bilal Coulibaly 7th) and Wemby number 1 (a great first for France), the 2024 edition promises to be even better.
Zacharie Risacher remains projected number 1 in the new Mock Draft published by ESPN, while Alex Sarr is still his runner-up. A few weeks before the Lottery, scheduled for Sunday May 12, everything is going well for the French nuggets.

Tidjane Salaün, the other Frenchman projected in the Lottery, has lost a few places since the last edition ofESPN. Yet sparkling against Saint-Quentin this weekend, the young player from Cholet is probably paying for the March Madness effect, during which certain American prospects appear to climb the projection tables. Projected 10th at the start of the month, Salaün is now in 13th place.

In a month and a half, even stronger trends should emerge when teams know their position in the Draft. But everything seems in order to have three French people in the 14 Lottery choices, including the first two. This would obviously be unheard of.
