French Badminton Federation Executive Shares Expertise with Young Athletes and Educators

Benefiting from the expertise of an executive from the French Badminton Federation is the objective of a course followed by young people from the archipelago but also some national education teachers.

During these school holidays, around ten young athletes are taking advantage of a badminton course. An internship like no other, supervised by a federal technical executive from the French Federation, Julien Pourcelot.

Trajectory, movement, hitting… all aspects of the game are carefully reviewed during 4 days of learning with the help of an educational kit.

This is a tool dedicated to the school world with content adapted to the meaning of the game and applicable from primary to high school.

Volunteer teachers from National Education are also invited to this course. 4 of them were able to talk with Julien Pourcelot.

An initiative which reinforces the work of the local club SPM Bad, affiliated with the Guadeloupe league.

At the club we operate with volunteers, but here we have someone with a diploma and who knows badminton much better.

Alexandre Hublart, president of SPM Bad

The habits of young people have been a little disrupted. But the exchanges are rich and formative as confirmed by their trainer of the week.

Thursday a day in Miquelon is planned. On the program, a tournament open to all interested people.

Matéo Stéphan and Jérôme Anger attended one of these courses:
