France-Germany: Florian Wirtz opens the scoring after 7 seconds, the fastest goal conceded by the Blues

Florian Wirtz walks on water this season. Author of an impressive exercise with Leverkusen – leader of the Bundesliga and qualified for the quarter-finals of the Europa League – the German attacking midfielder showed all his class this Saturday, against the France team. Traveling on the pitch at Groupama Stadium, Germany was able to count on a powerful strike from its number 10, which came under the bar of Brice Samba. This goal comes after 7 seconds of play. It is the earliest achievement conceded by the Blues. In 1982, the Englishman Bryan Robson opened the scoring after 27 seconds, during the World Cup.

France had until then only conceded two goals in the first minute: in addition to Robson in 1982, the Dutchman Wim Roetert had achieved this feat on… April 2, 1923.

Less than three months before “its” Euro (June 14 – July 14), Germany challenges France with an eleven composed in particular of Jamal Musiala, Kaï Havertz and especially Toni Kroos, back after three years of absence. On the Tricolores side, Marcus Thuram is aligned at the forefront of the attack alongside Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé. The Inter player is seeking a starting place for the first Euro match on June 17 against Austria.
