Four startups from Mexico are finalists in the South Summit Brazil 2024 – El Sol de México

Four startups will represent Mexico at the South Summit Brazil, the largest entrepreneurship competition in Latin America that will be held in Porto Alegre from March 20 to 22, under the motto “Decoding Complexity.”

From among more than two thousand startups that applied, the Mexican companies Palenca, Mamotest, Niu Niu and ebombo were chosen among the 50 finalists of the main global entrepreneurship meeting in Latin America, which is organized by IE University and the Government of the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

In the third edition of South Summit Brazil, the finalist startups will have the opportunity to present to a thousand investors and 140 funds to become the most innovative project in Latin America.

Coming from 16 different countries, three more than last year, the 2024 edition stands out for the increase in Latin American nations represented, which has doubled from 7 to 15 in the last year, while the number of startups registered in the competition increased 144% .

In addition to the four Mexican startups, three Chilean and two Argentine startups are also competing, as well as two startups from Uruguay and Colombia. Brazil continues to have the largest number of representatives among the 50 finalist candidates, having almost 50% of them.

Last year, South Summit Brazil had more than 22 thousand attendees, among which were 100 international investment funds from the entire region, the United States or Europe that manage an investment portfolio of around 125 billion dollars.

The rest of the countries with finalist startups in this third edition are: Germany, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, United States, France, Israel, Luxembourg, Mexico, Portugal, United Kingdom, Singapore, Sweden and Uruguay.
