Former Forward Koen Schockaert Joins KV Kortrijk Scouting Department

At KV Kortrijk they have expanded their scouting department. The Guys have hired a former forward as a scout. That became officially known.

Schockaert scouts at KV Kortrijk

Koen Schockaert announced via LinkedIn that he has become a scout at KV Kortrijk since this month. He was sporting director at Lierse from December 2022 to December 2023, but that came to an end a few months ago.

Schockaert previously served as sporting manager at Capellen for eight years. So he is now taking on a third challenge in football.

Strong at STVV and Lokeren

Schockaert is no stranger to the slightly older football fan. He played in Belgium for Sporting Lokeren, Club Brugge, STVV, Germinal Beerschot, Denderleeuw, Wetteren, Sint-Niklaas, Capellen, Berlare, Jong Lede and Kaart. He was also active abroad at one time, with the Norwegian Tromso.

He had two good spells in the first division at Lokeren and STVV. He scored 13 times and provided 1 assist in 50 matches for Lokeren. The lightning-fast attacker scored 11 goals and 2 assists in 29 matches for the Canaries. He couldn’t break through at Club Brugge. There the counter was stuck at 5 goals in 25 matches.
