Fluminense hosts Dentil Praia Clube this Saturday (09/03), at 9:30 pm, in Hebraica, for a match valid for the eighth round of the return of the Bet7k Superliga. The match will be broadcast on SporTV 2 and Canal Vôlei Brasil for free.
The team led by coach Guilherme Schmitz enters the court in sixth place on the leaderboard, with 25 points. Praia Clube is third, with 41 points.
Returning to the court in the Superliga after the setback to Gerdau Minas in the semifinals of the Copa Brasil, center Camila Paracatu, the best blocker of the Guerreiras do Vôlei and seventh in the competition, spoke about the team’s performance and highlighted the focus on the Superliga.
“It was my first Copa Brasil semi-final and it was very special to achieve this alongside Flu, who reached it for the second time in a row. This sequence is important for the project. We knew how difficult it would be to face the teams that were also among the four, but the result was not what we wanted, we always want more. Now, we are focused on the Superliga and we have a big challenge against Praia. I believe it will be a close game and, due to all our work, we can win”, said Camila Paracatu.
After 18 rounds, in addition to Paracatu, Serbian winger Aleksandra Uzelac stands out, who continues to lead the rankings for highest scorer and best server in the Superliga, with 357 points and 29 aces. Fluminense’s second highest scorer is opposite Ariane, with 259 hits. The Pietra winger occupies second place in the league’s reception ranking, with 65% positivity.
