Hoeneß has been working in the background in the club’s football department for four years. On Sunday he was elected to the executive committee as part of the new top four.
Hoeneß sees promotion from the sixth-class state league to the fifth-class Bayernliga as well as an increased focus on expanding youth work in Schwabach as his initial goals.
Hoeneß: “First team in the Bavarian league, second team in the district league, that would be the structure that suits the club and the city.”

By the way: Despite his prominent father, a football career was never an issue for Hoeneß. Although he played for Bayern’s youth teams as a youth, he still occasionally attends the record champions’ games, but never pursued a professional career.
