Alphonso Davies and FC Bayern are negotiating a shared future. The record champions give the coveted defender an ultimatum. Much to the annoyance of the Davies side, who made allegations against Bayern.

There are no signs of a quick decision in the poker surrounding Bayern star Alphonso Davies. After the club had recently called for a timely decision, the agent of the Canadian, who was allegedly courted by Real Madrid, has now positioned himself.

“It is a very important contract in Alphonso’s career and we are supposed to make the decision – without knowing who the coach will be next season or what the team looks like. That’s why we think it’s unfair to react to the ultimatum and will decide at the end of the season how to proceed when there is more clarity,” said Nick Huoseh in BILD.

The 23-year-old full-back’s contract in Munich runs until June 30, 2025. If Davies does not extend his contract, Bayern will have the last chance for a generous transfer fee this summer. “I can say: We made Alphonso a very concrete, appreciative offer. At some point in life you have to say yes or no,” sports director Max Eberl said recently.

Advisor criticizes Bavaria

The Davies side doesn’t like this. “It’s not fair that Alphonso is being attacked now. We were close to an agreement a year ago. Then the entire club management was replaced. We then heard nothing for seven months. Although I tried to contact the club myself during this time,” said the advisor. “Now we are given an ultimatum and are supposed to react within two weeks because the club is under pressure and it took a long time to reposition itself in the management? That’s not fair.”

As SPORT BILD recently reported, Davies has received a final offer from Bayern, which will no longer be improved financially. Eberl said about Spanish media reports that Davies had already reached an agreement with Real Madrid about a move: “Real Madrid have not contacted us.”
