FC Bayern Dominates Darmstadt: Goal Show After Catching Up!

Goal show after catching up!

After the gala against Mainz (8:1) last week, FC Bayern won against bottom team Darmstadt, turning a 0:1 into a 5:2.

Bitter: DFB newcomer Aleksandar Pavlovic (19) collides badly with Vilhelmsson in a duel, remains dazed and has to go down with a big black eye (58th for Laimer). By Prof. Dr. Peter Ueblacker gets small ice cubes to cool him down. And that, of all things, after the German-Serbian’s debut nomination for the DFB team.

Did you know? This Kane goal is doubly historic

Bavaria literally gets away with a black eye when it comes to lilies!

The record champions start dominantly (80 percent possession), but the hosts are waiting for a counterattack – and take the lead with their first shot on goal.

28th minute: After a shoe knocks off, right-back Kimmich is overrun in midfield (!). Honsak tanks against three Bayern stars (Goretzka, Dier, de Ligt) and passes to the left for Skarke, who pushes the ball into the far corner – 1-0.

For the Lilies it is the first goal against the record champions in over eight years. Sandro Wagner last scored against Bayern in February 2016 (1:3).

But the joy only lasted eight minutes before Bayern struck back. Pavlovic prevails against Franjic and has an eye for Kane in the backcourt from the baseline. The Englishman passes for Musiala, who hits the far corner completely freely to equalize – 1-1 (36th).

Shortly before the break – of course – Harry Kane turned the game around, nodding a cross from Kimmich over the line from close range to make it 2-1 (45th + 1).

With his 31st league goal (after 26 match days), the striker sets a new personal goal record. His previous record comes from last season, when the English international scored 30 goals in 38 Premier League games for Tottenham.

In addition, Kane, who was replaced shortly before the end after a collision with the post (82nd), continues to chase Robert Lewandowski’s all-time Bundesliga goal record (41 goals) and still has eight game days to score another ten goals.

After the break, Musiala (gala performance with a brace and assist/BILD grade 1) increased the score to 5-1 with his second goal (64′) as well as substitutes Gnabry (74′) and Tel (90’+3), before Vilhelmsson (90.+5) makes the final score 5:2.
