Eintracht Frankfurt Eyes Greek International Konstantinos Koulierakis for Summer Transfer

As part of the UEFA Europa Conference League, Eintracht Frankfurt met PAOK Saloniki twice in 2023/24. The SGE lost both duels 1:2, and one defender from the competition made a lasting impression: 20-year-old Konstantinos Koulierakis, who even scored a goal against the Hessians.

The “Bild” claims to have learned that Eintracht Frankfurt “absolutely” wants to sign Konstantinos Koulierakis in the summer. Accordingly, the Bundesliga club even tried its luck in the winter, but PAOK is said to have immediately rejected the offer. However, it is now understood that the Greek international will be difficult to keep.

Although Koulierakis’ contract does not end until the summer of 2026, the youngster seems to have simply outgrown the Greek league and is aiming for a move to a top league. He is said to be particularly interested in the German Bundesliga and the Italian Serie A.

According to “Bild”, Frankfurt is currently in “pole position”. In winter, only the Hessians are said to have submitted an offer.

Eintracht Frankfurt star is said to be in high demand

But poker will probably not be a sure-fire success. PAOK is said to have demanded around ten million euros so far. A sum that Eintracht would probably only accept with gritted teeth.

However, things could become more relaxed if Willian Pacho leaves Eintracht Frankfurt. The financially strong clubs in the English Premier League are set to invest in the Ecuadorian (contract until 2028); a transfer would probably bring a lot of money into the SGE’s coffers. In this case, Koulierakis would probably be easily financed.

On the other hand, the pressure in the Main metropolis is not really great. After all, they have already signed a central defender with the signing of Aurèle Amenda from BSC Young Boys. The 20-year-old will spend the second half of the season on loan with the Swiss, but will join the Eintracht squad in the summer. According to “Bild”, the interest in Koulierakis exists independently of the Amenda deal.
