In his 200th match for RKC, standout Vaessen stopped several Eagles from scoring, including Jakob Breum, Bas Kuipers and Finn Stokkers. In total, the goalkeeper made six saves in the first half.

On the other hand, it was initially a little quieter, but RKC also showed no signs of attacking. David Min hit the crossbar and Chris Lokesa came close after a deep ball from Vaessen.
There were fewer mistakes and fewer chances in the second half, but Go Ahead struck in the 61st minute. Sören Tengstedt cleverly passed through to Breum in one go and the Dane hit the goal.
Another 1-0 loss to RKC
With Michiel Kramer as a substitute next to Min in the front, RKC launched a meager final offensive. Go Ahead keeper Jeffrey de Lange made a good save on the line from Min’s header and there were also chances for the home team in the final phase.
It remained a narrow 1-0, as RKC also lost the previous two matches against Feyenoord and Fortuna Sittard with those figures.
