Durango Judokas Shine at 2024 National Tournament in Guadalajara

Judokas from Durango attended the “Prof. Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi” 2024 National Tournament, held from February 29 to March 3 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, highlighting the bronze medal obtained by Juan Manuel Serrato, since 29 competitors attended this important national event. states of the Mexican Republic.

The event was organized by the Mexican Judo Federation, and took place at the CODE Alcalde Sports Center, in La Perla Guadalajara. This tournament featured the participation of the best Mexican judo competitors, who competed in their respective categories, including sub-18, sub-20 and Senior.

The Durango representatives were Octavio Haro Félix and Max López Faudoa in the under 18 category and Juan Manuel Serrato de los Santos in the first force. The Durango delegation was led by Carlos Lazaga, president of the State Judo Association, and by his coach Arturo de la Fuente.

It should be noted that Juan Manuel Serrato, by achieving third place, is nationally preselected for future competitions in this specialty. For Durango, he also obtained sixth and eighth place in the under 18 category. For Durango judokas, this was the first event of 2024.
