Dunlop – DKC Dominates to Claim 2024 Eredivisie Title

The 2024 Eredivisie title has become a prey for Dunlop – DKC!
In the final in the Maaspoort Den Bosch, Dunlop – DKC were too strong for FIT Almere 5-1.

Doubles
We started with the doubles, the men’s doubles were won in 2 games by Dunlop – DKC. Mark Caljouw and Michiel Kruijt of DKC defeated Alex Vlaar / Dylon Wijlick of the Almere formation 21-18 and 21-16. The women’s doubles pitted Cheryl Seinen/Kirsten de Wit for FIT Almere against Alyssa Tirtosentono/Marlies Baan from Dunlop – DKC. The Almere ladies managed to settle this battle in 2 games with 21-19, 21-19 in their favor.

Ankles
Then the 1st round of singles was played. In the men’s singles, Joran Kweekel of Dunlop – DKC managed to defeat Noah Haase of FIT Almere in 3 games (23-25, 21-14, 21-4). DKC’er Jaymie Laurens defeated Diede Odijk of FIT Almere in 2 games (21-16, 21-12) in the women’s singles. So the score was 3-1 in favor of Dunlop – DKC after 4 games.

For the 2nd round of the singles, Mark Caljouw and Flora Wang were deployed from Dunlop – DKC. FIT Almere took part with Dennis Koppen and Alida Chen. Mark Caljouw was too strong for Dennis Koppen in 2 games (21-16, 21-13). Flora Wang was just too strong for Alida Chen in an exciting battle in 2 games (21-15, 22-20). The 2 remaining mixed doubles were then no longer played

History
It is the 2nd title in club history for Dunlop – DKC, after their first Eredivisie title in 2015.
