Dominican Republic Secures Spot in U15 Baseball World Championship After Victory Over Bahamas

The selected one The Dominican Republic beat the Bahamas 11-3 yesterday afternoon to qualify for the U15 Baseball World Championship, in a match held at the Baseball City of Boca Chica.

It was the fourth victory without defeat for the Dominican troop that is part of Group A, which also includes Mexico (3-1), Brazil (2-2), Bahamas (1-3) and Argentina (0-4).

With their victory, the Quisqueyans now join Puerto Rico as the only countries to secure their place in the World Cup.

The Puerto Ricans belong to Group B, made up of Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Peru and Guatemala.

The hosts had to play quite hard in their two previous victories as they came from behind.
