Domenico Tedesco to Announce Selection for Red Devils’ International Matches

Next week, Domenico Tedesco will announce the selection for the Red Devils’ next international matches. As a reminder, two friendly matches are planned against Ireland (March 23) and England (March 26).

The Italian-German coach has already announced it, there will be no big surprises in the selection. He believes that now is no longer the time to do big tests as the Euro is fast approaching.

We should therefore not see Maarten Vandevoordt celebrating his first selection. The Genk goalkeeper, who will join Leipzig this summer, is currently behind goalkeepers like Kaminski, Sels and Bodart in the hierarchy.

According to Stephan Streker, the 22-year-old goalkeeper has no business being with the Red Devils anyway: “They tried to make us believe that he was a top goalkeeper, but he is just overrated.”

Big competition

Vandevoordt will certainly have a chance to become Red Devil next season if he manages to start and perform well in Leipzig. However, this will be far from easy because he will be competing with two very good goalkeepers (Gulacsi and Blaswich).
