According to the aforementioned platform, the states that lead purchases in the category are the State of Mexico, Mexico City, Veracruz and Jalisco.

“Online commerce is allowing the creation of communities that promote self-acceptance, being a great support for people to fully enjoy the identity they want to project in society,” the platform highlights in a statement.

According to data from this platform, among the most purchased items are flags of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as binder t-shirts and transgender underwear. In addition, they highlight the purchase of pins and patches with a ticket
average of up to 1,202.75 pesos, highlighting that purchase orders in this category have an average of at least three items.

The platform data also reflects that the main sales channels are social networks, with Instagram being the favorite network, in second place is the direct sales channel, and lastly, online search engines. The most used purchasing device is the mobile phone with 86 percent.

“E-commerce came to break down the barriers of traditional commerce, both for those who start businesses and for those seeking to access products that were previously more difficult to find and that people did not feel comfortable purchasing in physical stores. This venture provides a space where members of the community can buy and sell, in addition to having the support of groups such as Futuro sin Labels, Colores Diversidad and the Department of Attention and Inclusion of Sexual Diversity of the DIF of Tlalnepantla, organizations that have supported the mission of disseminating relevant information to the community and additionally offering health services such as free HIV testing.
