Discovering Judo: A Gentle Path in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler

Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler.Judo – now back in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. Life with Judo is – not to let yourself be defeated so easily. Jigoro Kano founded a school in Japan in 1882 that he called Kodokan. Kodokan means: school for studying the Way. He removed everything that was hurtful from old fighting techniques and made protecting the partner (not the opponent) the guiding principle. For his variant he chose the term Judo, which means gentle path. But a gentle path also means protecting your partner, giving him support when he falls, guiding him and always giving him the opportunity to survive his defeat unharmed. Judo can also be a way of life in everyday life, in dealing with one another, in professional competition.

In order to gain an insight into judo, combined with games and sporting challenges, the Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler judo club offers the following training times in the hall of the ARE-Gymnasium, Mittelstraße 110, Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler: Mondays from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for children under twelve years of age; Mondays from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for young people and adults; Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for everyone aged twelve and over (training is canceled during holidays). Just come along for a trial training session and join in. B.A
