Didier Lamkel Zé Eyeing Transfer to Belgium: Could KRC Genk Be Next?

Didier Lamkel Zé’s visits to our country never simply passed by. The Cameroonian is certainly not reluctant to a new transfer to Belgium.

12 steals, 13 accidents. Didier Lamkel Zé has moved from one club to another in recent seasons. He often only lasts a few months or at most one season at the same club.

Eleven Sports contacted him for an interview and he is very keen on a transfer to the Jupiler Pro League. Although it must be a team with the necessary standing.

After his adventures at Antwerp, DAC, Khimki, Metz, Kortrijk and Hatayspor, he certainly wants to play in Belgium. “I couldn’t refuse Standard,” says Lamkel Zé.

Didier Lamkel Zé to KRC Genk?

“Standard is one of the largest clubs in Belgium. With its audience you can’t say no to Standard. In 2022 I ended up at Metz. I was at Antwerp and people talked to me about Standard. We drove to Liège and I gave my agreement. I said that it was up to them to look at it with Antwerp.”

But other teams are also interested in him. “I cannot close the door to the Belgian competition. But if I return, it will be to play at a club like Standard. Anderlecht, I don’t know, because I used to play there when I was younger. But Standard, Anderlecht and why not Genk. If I come to Belgium again, it will be to play for a club that competes at the top.”
