After various speculations based on reports from the online portal “footyheadlines”, it has now been official since Thursday morning: national coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team will play in the white home and pink away jerseys.
First game in the jersey against France
The stars around world champion Thomas Müller are scheduled to wear the new jerseys for the first time on the upcoming international trip against France (March 23) and the Netherlands (March 26). The women’s national team will now also wear the new home jersey.
The home jersey for the European Championships is in traditional white. The black-red-gold color gradient in the shoulder area combines the colors of the German national flag and the look of an eagle’s wing.

What: Adidas
The embossing on the front of the jersey is inspired by the logo of the German Football Association (DFB). There is also a black stripe on the side. This is reminiscent of the jersey from the home World Cup in 2006, at the tournament in Germany the national team came third. The shorts and socks of the new EM collection are white. The player number is designed in 1990s 3D style.

The new away jersey, however, surprises with its shades of pink and purple. It should represent the new generation of German football fans and the diversity of the country. This is what an Adidas statement says.

The diamond-shaped pattern is reminiscent of the look of an eagle’s wing. The stars wear purple shorts and socks with the pink jersey. The font is angular, but only slightly similar to the 3D font on the home jerseys.
“The home jersey is classic with the black, red and gold shoulders and the otherwise white look – for me a typically German jersey. I think the away jersey is very cool! “Something different and really extraordinary,” said Bayer Leverkusen national player Florian Wirtz in a statement from Adidas.
Player version of the jersey costs 150 euros
Cost of the jersey, which has been available to buy since Thursday: from 100 euros. The shirt is available for children from 75 euros. The version worn by the players is called the “Authentic Version” and costs 150 euros – this is also for sale. The special thing about this version: the jerseys have a particularly body-hugging cut, have a more complex production method and are therefore lighter and more breathable.
