1. FC Kaiserslautern will play the semi-final of the DFB Cup against 1. FC Saarbrücken on Tuesday, April 2nd. On Wednesday, April 3rd, Bayer Leverkusen will meet Fortuna Düsseldorf.
This resulted in the scheduling of the semi-final games, which were announced on Thursday (February 15, 2024).
Semi-final with Kaiserslautern live on ARD
The first semi-final with 1. FC Kaiserslautern and 1. FC Saarbrücken will be broadcast live on Erste and in the stream at sportschau.de.
Leverkusen vs Düsseldorf live on ZDF
The second semi-final between Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen and second division team Fortuna Düsseldorf will be shown live on free TV on ZDF on Wednesday. Both semi-final games will kick off at 8:45 p.m.
Final of the DFB Cup on May 25th in Berlin
The final will take place as usual in Berlin on May 25, 2024.
Even after UEFA’s European Cup reform, which applies from the 2024/25 season, the winner of the DFB Cup has the right to start in the new league phase of the Europa League.
If the DFB Cup winner has already qualified for the Champions League or Europa League via the Bundesliga, the place goes to the Bundesliga, where it is then distributed according to the final table. The losing finalist of the DFB Cup final cannot benefit under any circumstances.
