The coach of the France team will carry out a large squad review against Chile on Tuesday.

Special envoy to Marseille

The defeat against Germany (0-2) did not change anything in his plans. Didier Deschamps will fundamentally change his starting lineup against Chile on Tuesday evening at the Vélodrome. In an XXL calendar between the resumption of the championships on Friday, without forgetting the European Cups in two weeks, the coach wants to see people in view of the Euro (June 14-July 14). No less than nine changes are expected in the team which will start against the 42nd nation in the world.

Considering the closed session held in the light Marseille rain on the Vélodrome lawn, Didier Deschamps should remain in the same 4-3-3 playing system. Mike Maignan will find his place in goal, chasing Brice Samba to the bench. In defense, Jonathan Clauss will play in front of his supporters with a hinge composed of William Saliba, former regional player of the stage, and Ibrahima Konaté. On the left, Théo will replace his brother, Lucas Hernandez.

A Kolo Muani-Giroud-Mbappé attack

In midfield, a sector of play asphyxiated on Saturday evening by the positioning of the Germans, only Aurélien Tchouaméni survived the coach’s facelift. The Madrilenian will supervise Youssouf Fofana, his former partner from Monaco and Eduardo Camavinga, his colleague from Real Madrid. Mattéo Guendouzi, formerly of OM now at Lazio Rome and called in as reinforcement after Antoine Griezmann’s withdrawal, was also tested with the starters in place of Fofana. Barring a cataclysm, he will have playing time Tuesday evening. In attack, there too no surprises. Kylian Mbappé is returned to the left, with Olivier Giroud in the axis and Randal Kolo Muani in the right lane.
