Denver Broncos stun Kansas City Chiefs with 24-9 victory: Mahomes unable to lead Chiefs to victory

So far extremely disappointing since the start of the season, the Denver Broncos offered themselves a prestigious 24-9 victory against the powerful Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday evening at Empower Field.

There were doubts that Patrick Mahomes would be there for the game due to a virus, but he ultimately played. He tried everything to give his team the means to leave Denver with the victory, in vain.

Despite everything, he will have finished his work evening with 24 completed passes on 38 attempts and gains of 241 yards. To stay in the game, the Chiefs (6-2) relied on kicker Harrison Butker, who went to score three field goals, including one at 56 yards.

However, we cannot say that it is thanks to the brilliance of Mahomes’ opposite, Russell Wilson, that the Broncos (3-5) emerged victorious from this duel. Despite three touchdown passes, the last city suffered six quarterback sacks, in addition to completing only 12 of his 19 passes, amassing 114 yards through the air.

The Chiefs had not lost since the first game of the season on September 9. They will face the Miami Dolphins next week.

Joe Burrow in form against the 49ers

We were treated to Joe Burrow in full possession of his means during the victory of the Cincinnati Bengals (4-3) 31 to 17 against the San Francisco 49ers (5-3).

From the first moments of the match, Burrow showed what wood he was made of on a sequence where he showed a lot of self-sacrifice, getting rid of several 49ers players before joining his teammate Tee Higgins on a 20-yard play .

He scored two touchdown passes in the first quarter alone, before adding a third when he found Ja’Marr Chase for 17 yards. Burrow finished the game with an efficiency of 87.5% (28/32) on his passes, for 293 yards of gains through the air.

Joe Mixon also had a good game, reaching the pay zone once, in addition to amassing 87 yards on the ground on 16 attempts.
