Dedicated Volunteers Honored for Service in Celle Sports

That.

Representing the many volunteers who work in sports, the Cellesche Zeitung once again honored three deserving personalities from Celle sports in its 68th local athlete election. Ute Kisser, Claus Clausnitzer and Volkhard Troschke have rendered services to their club in a variety of ways.

“The main thing is to enjoy the movement”

Ute Kisser (MTV Beedenbostel): “It was always important to me that children do sports. It doesn’t matter what sport or intensity – the main thing is to have fun with the exercise,” says Ute Kisser. The 60-year-old has been chairwoman of MTV Beedenbostel for more than ten years – and has been closely associated with the club since she joined in 1971. “I have always done sport in my life,” she says. After starting out with children’s gymnastics, vaulting and horse riding were on the program, and Kisser played handball as a youth. But her great passion is the rollers: a year after her first participation in the speed skating marathon from Hanover to Celle, Ute Kisser founded an inline skating division at MTV in 2003, which she still manages today. From 2005 to 2014 she organized the Beedenbostel half marathon for inline skaters and worked as a trainer for many years.

Numerous events organized

As club boss, Ute Kisser is responsible for events such as the Joachim Schulz memorial tournament in indoor football, the sports day and “A Village is Moving”. Kisser and her colleagues honored MTV’s 100th anniversary year with many events in 2023.

Teaching values to children through judo

Claus Clausnitzer (SV Altencelle): His name is inseparably linked to the sport of judo at SV Altencelle: In 1995, the now 69-year-old founded the division with his wife Sabine, was department head for 28 years, a trainer for almost as long and has helped countless children and young people with great enthusiasm conveys the judo values such as politeness, honesty and respect. He always had his own judo philosophy: his protégés’ competitive successes were a nice touch, but were never the focus. “Judo is always the interaction of body and mind,” says Clausnitzer.

Always committed – even beyond the club

Clausnitzer was also involved beyond his own department and was district referee chairman, training test and teaching consultant and chairman of the Celle district association. For his services, he was awarded 6th Dan in 2015, one of the highest honors in judo.

An era was coming to an end

Corona took a toll on the division – fewer and fewer children came. At the end of 2023 it was over for Claus Clausnitzer and the judo division at SVA was dissolved. This marked the end of an era – but his work will continue to resonate for a long time.
